The Family Court Division of the Miami-Dade County Clerk's Office handles Domestic Relations and Probate cases.
Domestic Relations categories for cases are:
The Family Court Division can assist you in filing for simplified divorce, collecting child support alimony and filing a restraining order due to domestic violence.
Probate categories for cases are:
The Probate Court can assist you in filing a small estates petition, will on deposit, or caveat.
The Court can also help you petition to Baker Act a loved one (have a person taken to a receiving facility for a psychiatric examination).

Civil Court Services
The Miami-Dade County Civil Court operates on two levels: Circuit Civil and County Civil.
Circuit Civil is the jurisdiction for civil matters where the amount of damages sought is in excess of $15,000.
County Civil is the jurisdiction that includes summary procedure also known as small claims, where damages sought range from $.01 to $5,000. Actions where damages sought range from $5,000.01 to $15,000 as well as landlord/tenant actions are also included in County Civil.
These actions may be filed at the Miami-Dade County Courthouse or at the full-service District Courts.
